deviantCher
Hey fellow fans! I finally joined deviantArt this week and I added the Cher Playing Cards to my gallery (including this artwork among others). Go check them out! You'll be able to have a glimpse of the King cards over there!
I also updated the official Inkjava Playing Cards website with new sneak peeks of the Cher cards. ...Now it's time to get Cher's attention and hope these cards can get made for real!!

The Jacks: Stanley Tucci
Stanley Tucci earns himself the spot as the Jack of Diamonds! He was one of many highlights in Cher's latest movie Burlesque in 2010.

Cher: Queen of Reinvention
The Queen of Spades, fellow fans! Reinvention is surely the leitmotif of Cher's career since 1960's.

1st Print Test
It's getting very, very exciting! I just went ahead with the first print test of the cards (and the box!) yesterday. A very simple test -plain paper, nothing fancy- just to have a first glimpse of the artworks for "real" and see what adjustments have to be made (colors, text size, etc). There's a few fixes to do but overall it looks pretty damn good!

The Jacks: Bob Hoskins
Bob Hoskins is the Jack of hearts! He played the loveable Lou Landsky in the 1990 comedy-drama movie "Mermaids".
There's only one Jack left to be revealed, fellow fans! Who should it be? Sam Elliott from "Mask"? Dennis Quaid from "Suspect"? or Stanley Tucci from "Burlesque"? Cast your vote in the poll at the top of the left sidebar.

Goddess of Pop!
Greetings, fellow fans! The last artwork for the song "Perfection" has yet to be unveiled, but the excitement to show you the freshly designed card back was too great to retain! Cher's notorious gown for the Oscar night of 1986 was a perfect fit for a stylized and prestigious design on the opposite side of all the cards. It is also a great satisfaction to have found a meaningful place for this outfit in the playing cards.
Next, I will be in need of your creativity, fellow fans. Cher's incredible career has earned her the honorific title of "Goddess of Pop", a great honor indeed! And the nickname "Queen of Reinvention" is also a no-brainer for our favorite diva. Now let's see what else you can come up with! The best suggestions might appear in the playing cards, so let your imagination run wild!

New Card Design
Greetings, fellow fans! The cards are in the process of getting revamped with this brand new design I came up with the last week. Many other things are in progress but not yet ready to be shown, such as the card's back, the jokers (today's Ringmaster artwork will actually be used as a joker), new lyrics selection, and last but not least: the Royal cards! I'm pretty excited about these!
In the meantime, there's no poll this week but you are gladly invited to answer a short and sweet question: among all the movies Cher has starred in, which male co-stars were your favorite? Try to pick up to 4 actors if you can. Thanks, fellow fans!
